Stock Market Profits

Its no secret, that those who know how, invest in the stock market. The stock market is a vast pot of wealth that seems likes it’s there for the taking. But, without the proper research, and knowledge it is very hard to take advantage of this opportunity.

In addition, one of the biggest misconceptions we run into is that you must trade stocks. I used to be a stock trader myself, and in some cases, I still do hold some stocks, but once I learned about options there was no turning back. Options, which were created to hedge one’s self against loss are what I consider the secret to "Stock Market Profits." Options, also called derivatives, allow you to:

  • Leverage Capital – because you don’t actually purchase the underlying stock, you can leverage a much smaller amount of money, but still profit the same as if you had actually
  • Hedge Yourself Against Loss – essentially, stock insurance, you can set a bottom and a ceiling with options ensuring you never loss too much
  • Eliminate Greed in Trading – set a ceiling to make sure you get out at a predetermined point.
  • Much More…

Philstockworld.com and all of our members is setup to support your education and development of your trading skills. Unlike many sites out there we are advocating trading ability, not just technique. We don’t care what software you use, but we’ll help you spot the movements and make the trades so that you too can see Stock Market Profits!

What Our Subscribers Have To Say:

This is why I love this site. Blunt truth. While all these financial thieves don their $150 Armani ties and tell you to stay calm, much like the day after 9/11, you tell people to save themselves. Your site is quite possibly one of the best blogs around. Thanks for keeping it "real" and educating many of us lemmings. Keep up the good work.
-Lloyd P.

I have paid many dollars for education, coaching and stupidity! I have also followed dozens of advisories, coaches and newsletters. This is by far the most educational site with the best strategy for this type of whipsaw market! I’ve already started recommending you to my trading buddies. You better get this site ready for some major traffic as people catch on to what you’re doing!

The Picks: the real reason you’re here. For a detailed overview, check out our past performance.

Please note: Performance is calculated as a percentage gain from the basis at the time the position is closed.  In no way should you get the impression that your entire virtual portfolio can get these returns every week.

Not all trades are taken by all people and not all traders choose to (or have the clearance to) sell options against other positions or have the capital available to add money to trades – all this impacts your individual ability to profit under some aspects of our system.  We have long, short and mid-term trading opportunities for all types of traders!

A sample of the trade ideas our members receive:

The best of the worst, to me, is P&G, and not just because they are literally throwing in the towel – selling their European towel unit, which gives me an excuse to put up another picture of Towelie, but because they’ve done an amazing job integrating Gillette already, growing net income from $1.7Bn a quarter (average) in ’05 to $2.7Bn in Q3 and $2.8Bn in Q4 and they already have a 23% market share in developing countries and the management expects to "derive $14Bn to $16B in synergies from this (Gillette) combination over time. While they may dip down and test the 200 dma at $61 (they’ve come so close, why not at least pay a visit?), we can start accumulating PG for our Long-Term virtual Portfolio by picking up the Jan ’09 $65 calls for $5.70. We will wait to sell calls against it but if this is a real rally, these guys should come out like champs over time. On Feb 20th, these contracts were trading at $7.75!

Trade Alerts: daily and intraday trade alerts appear on our site in real time! Sample intraday alert:

Mind Blowing Economic Charts – First Time Claims, The Stock Market, and The Fed

Courtesy of Lee Adler of the Wall Street Examiner

Improvement in first time unemployment claims is slowing. Actual, not seasonally manipulated data, including an adjustment for the usual weekly upward revision, shows that the year to year rate of change is on the cusp of a possible upside breakout, which would be good news for stock market bears if it happens.

Here’s why it’s mind blowing. I’ve plotted it below on an inverse scale with the S&P 500 overlaid.

Dallas Fed Latest Economic Contraction Confirmation; Survey Respondents' Gloom Soars

Courtesy of ZeroHedge. View original post here.

Submitted by Tyler Durden.

The second economic disappointment of the day comes from the Dallas Fed, which dropped from -2.0 to -11.4 on expectations of -9.0- this was the 4th consecutive negative print month. The report was, in a word, horrible, with just 2 of the 15 constituent indices posting an increase, and the bulk solidly in the red, led by Unfilled and New Orders which dropped 16.8 and 11.2, respectively: not good for economic growth. On the employment side there was nothing good either, with both employment and hours worked declining by -...

Biotech Junkies Update and Momenta Pharma Moving Forward

February is now past, and the Biotech Porfolio is loaded with winners and a miss (PLX).  MRK is down a bit, but I expect that trade to recover, and one could be more agressive and double down on it, or play another round at the Jan13 $30 options for roughly the same price.  Below is the summary, and note the grey boxes are ones that did not fill.  I am still a fan of BMRN, and like DEPO as well.  Now let's look at a few others.

Table 1.  PSW Biotech Plays Since January 2011

Our newest play is Momenta Pharmaceuticals (MNTA), who is pursuing a three-part business model which includes complex generic equivalents in partnership with the Sandoz division of Novartis, proprietary compounds, and follow-on- biologics (FOB).  It seems that this company is tied up in competition/litigation wit...
